Friendly, helpful staff. Good position - 5 minutes walk to beach, 10 minutes walk to large air con shopping mall, 15minutes walk along beach or pavement to town centre

I stayed at Nilawan Guesthouse for 3 nights. The room was clean and sufficiently equiped for a short stay (small fridge, tv with several english channels). The internet was working fine and the balcony was huge. The location is good, in a quite side street with the beach just down the street and the new Village market (shopping center) just a 5- minute walk away. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Overall a nice guesthouse for a small budget.
The layout of the bathroom was a bit awkward. My room was on the first floor so sometimes you heard noise and music from downstairs, which didn't bother me. I couldn't find the swimming pool and cannot imagine where they could possibly have space for one, but I didn't ask as I prefered to go to the sea anyway.

I liked nothing about Niliwan Guesthouse. I have been coming to Thailand for more than 30 years. this is the only place I have stayed at in Thailand where i felt like I was a nuisance to staff. there was no warmth or friendliness shown.The reception staff were unfriendly and rude. I will not stay there even if it is free.
what is the point of a review, If one can't express complaints?

good place to stay in hua hin, rooms are cosy and nice balcony. Food also very good and a good speaking english staff!!! I stay here for one week and the familyroom is big enough for that!!!
some room have a new aircon, some not!

We had a really pleasant stay to nilawan.Very good location close to the beach and night market. Room basic but confortable with balcony.
